The PEX airbox and tubing hold a thin wall section that maximizes internal diameter while matching the texture of the surrounding factory parts, and airbox cutouts draw additional air from paths directed away from the engine to keep intake temperatures down. A T304 stainless steel heatshield blocks turbocharger heat, and the 7 in by 7 in filter with a 5.5 in frontal inlet and a 4 in outlet uses washable pleated cotton gauze media that can be cleaned or replaced.
