This advanced aluminum fan shroud significantly enhances cooling efficiency by incorporating three high-flow 10" electric slim fans. Each fan operates independently, providing a constant airflow of 950 CFM, regardless of engine speed. This design alleviates the burden placed on the engine by conventional fan systems, which often compromise performance. By optimizing airflow, the fan shroud ensures that the entire radiator receives effective cooling, especially during demanding off-road conditions such as steep climbs and muddy terrains.
In testing, this component demonstrated a 41.9% increase in airflow at idle compared to the stock setup, and it outperformed the stock fans by 22% at 2,500 RPM. The lightweight aluminum construction also covers a larger area of the radiator than the factory shroud, maximizing cooling potential. Additionally, the included A/C fan jumper harness guarantees proper functionality for 1997-2001 models.
The fans can be activated manually with a switch (sold separately) or via an adjustable fan controller, which can be conveniently mounted on the shroud and set to operate within a temperature range of 150°F to 240°F. The installation kit comes complete with a wiring harness, push-in radiator probe temperature sensor, and an in-line NPT temperature sensor for a straightforward setup.
