APR's cat-back exhaust for the MK8 Golf R is built entirely from brushed T304 stainless steel with straight-through 3in (76mm) to quad 2.5in (63.5mm) mandrel-bent tubing for a fully unrestrictive open-valve path against the factory system's 50mm restriction. Dual OEM-controlled valves and dual Helmholtz drone-elimination resonators deliver an aggressive wide-open-throttle note while staying civilized when cruising, with no packing or sound-absorption material so the natural exhaust tone is preserved. APR measures peak gains of 5 AWHP and 4 ft-lbs at all four wheels. Removable quad 5.2x3.9in (131x99mm) matte carbon fiber tips with stainless steel inlays finish the system, and low-profile butt clamps allow a no-cut install.
