APR replaces the flimsy factory engine cover on the EA888.4 2.0T with a rigid ridged panel in gloss twill carbon fiber that cuts 42% of the stock weight on the MK8 version, taking mass off the front axle. It follows the overall shape and theme of the factory cover so it sits naturally in an otherwise stock bay, and adds red and black accents with the APR logo plate. Fitting is plug and play with no tools, it has no effect on emissions, and it matches the covers used on the APR carbon fiber intake systems.
