Bilstein 24-016681 is a B4 OE Replacement rear shock absorber for the W124 chassis, using a gas pressure monotube with fixed OE calibrated valving to restore factory ride quality. It measures 13.25 in (336.5 mm) collapsed and 19.86 in (504.5 mm) extended, mounts on a 10.4 mm lower eye with a stem at the top, and ships with a black straight protective boot. It replaces Mercedes-Benz 124 320 21 31 and 124 326 28 00. Bilstein sells this damper individually and the vehicle takes two.
