Brembo PRIME Mercedes GL/GLE/ML Front Brake Pad Set FMSI D1636 - Low-Met

Brembo P50102 is the front-axle pad set for the W166 ML/GLE and X166 GL/GLS, supplied as four pads — one full axle, both front wheels. It is a Brembo PRIME Low-Met pad: the friction mix carries steel fibre, which gives it high thermal capacity and a firm initial bite — the traits that matter on a two-and-a-half-tonne SUV, particularly the AMG variants, where the front axle absorbs the great majority of the braking energy.

P50102 and P50102N are the same pad in two different friction compounds, and that is the only difference between them. Both are front-axle, both measure 192-193 x 19 x 72 mm, both run in the same Teves caliper, and both carry FMSI D1636 8955 and WVA 25531 / 25532 on a byte-identical vehicle list. P50102 (no suffix) is Low-Met; P50102N is PRIME Ceramic. Choose Low-Met for bite and heat tolerance, Ceramic for quieter running and lighter wheel dust. Brembo lists this reference as prepared for a wear indicator — the pad accepts the vehicle's OE sensor arrangement, but no sensor is among the supplied accessories and none is in the box.
