Brembo PRIME Mercedes GL350/GLE/ML Front Brake Pad Set FMSI D1629 - Low-Met

Brembo P50108 is the front-axle pad set for the six-cylinder and diesel W166 ML/GLE and X166 GL/GLS, supplied as four pads — one full axle, both front wheels. It is a Brembo PRIME Low-Met pad: steel fibre in the friction mix gives high thermal capacity and a firm bite, which suits a heavy SUV that is regularly loaded or towing.

Two part numbers are easy to mix up here. This pad is FMSI D1629 8655, 193 x 19 x 64 mm — the smaller-height front pad. The larger D1636 8955 front pad (192-193 x 19 x 72 mm) is P50102 and fits the V8 and AMG variants; the two are not interchangeable. Within this part number, P50108 is Low-Met and P50108N is PRIME Ceramic; the friction compound is the difference. Note that Brembo publishes a pad height of 64 mm for P50108 and 65 mm for P50108N despite the shared FMSI and WVA references. We publish each part's own figure as Brembo states it and make no claim about why they differ. This reference is prepared for a wear indicator: the pad accepts the vehicle's OE sensor arrangement, but no sensor is among the supplied accessories and none is in the box.
