Brembo Prime Rear Brake Disc 360x26mm Mercedes-AMG GT S63 S65 - Dual Cast

The 09.C128.33 is the rear Dual Cast disc from Brembo’s Prime line for the Mercedes-AMG GT family and the S-Class: 360 mm across, 26 mm thick new, ventilated, with a 24 mm wear limit. Dual Cast is Brembo’s foundry-bonded bi-material construction — a high-carbon iron braking ring cast around an aluminium hat. The aluminium takes weight out of the rotating assembly, the iron ring keeps the friction behaviour of a conventional disc at temperature, and the joint is designed to let the ring expand radially so the disc coning that softens pedal feel after repeated heavy stops is reduced.

This is the rear axle part. The front discs for the same cars are the 390 mm Dual Cast 09.C127.33 (S-Class) and 09.B848.33 (AMG GT, C63, E63, GLC63, SL63). High-carbon iron also damps vibration better than standard grey iron, which is the mechanism behind quieter braking rather than a coating or a shim.
