CSF's intercooler system for the 4.0T VW Group platform replaces the OEM crimped-plastic-tank coolers with 100% TIG-welded CNC billet aluminum end tanks and a one-piece welded charge pipe in place of the OEM bolt-on O-ring pipe (a known failure point). The cores are CSF-spec'd and built by PWR with two rows of rolled cooling tubes and inner fins to eliminate heat soak and lower intake air temperatures more efficiently than bar-and-plate or tube-and-fin designs. Sold as a pair (left and right) with an integrated 1/8 NPT port for water/methanol injection. Finished in CSF Thermal Dispersion ceramic black coating and made in the USA at PWR North America.
