DEI Glass Fiber Exhaust Wrap - Universal, 8 in x 100 ft - Tan

Wrapping headers and downpipes keeps exhaust heat inside the pipe instead of letting it radiate into the engine bay, which feeds the engine a cooler air charge and keeps exhaust gas hotter, less dense, and moving faster out of the system. This tan glass fiber wrap withstands 1200°F direct and 2000°F radiant heat, and it is the only exhaust wrap printed with installation guide lines, so each wrap overlaps the last evenly without stopping to measure. The 8 in width is sized for large diesel and industrial pipe. DEI recommends sealing the wrap with HT Silicone Coating spray once fitted, and advises against wrapping catalytic converters or any flex pipe or flex joint; glass fiber loses its initial flexibility after it has been heat cycled, so plan the installation before the first heat cycle.
