DEI Ultra 47 Turbo Shield - Universal, T4 Turbo, Shield Only

A turbo shield keeps turbine housing heat inside the turbo, which shortens spool time and raises exhaust gas velocity, and at the same time stops that heat from cooking a painted or carbon fiber hood sitting above it. Ultra 47 is built as a tri-layer sandwich: an aluminum impregnated glass fiber outer shell, a high temperature insulating mat core, and a silica glass blend liner, double stitched with smooth capped anchor points. It is rated to 1350°F direct and 1800°F radiant heat. This is the shield only version, supplied with the shield and a 5 ft length of 22 gauge stainless steel fastening wire rather than the full kit, and it is cut for T4 frame turbos measuring roughly 20 in to 22 in in circumference and 2.75 in wide, excluding the flanges.
