The Dinan High Flow Middle Exhaust replaces the hydroformed factory center section on the G8x M3 and M4, running from the secondary catalysts back to the axle-back and deleting both resonators for a louder, fuller note. It substitutes larger 3-inch (76mm) T304 stainless steel tubing for the stock 2.75-inch (70mm) pipe and adds a mandrel-bent X-pipe crossover that evens flow across both banks and removes the harshness caused by uneven exhaust flow in the stock system. The section weighs 5 pounds less than the factory mid-pipe and pairs with the Dinan valved axle-back for the complete system.
