This do88 intercooler replaces the small factory unit on turbocharged Volvo 200, 700 and 900 series cars with a large all-aluminum core and cast end tanks. The 60mm-thick core holds 11,906 cm3, roughly 221 percent more volume than the original, and flows 405 CFM at 0.15 bar pressure drop. In do88's testing that drops post-intercooler air temperature to around 32 degrees C, some 34 degrees C cooler than the OEM unit under comparable conditions. It mounts in the original position with only minor trimming of the OEM rubber support brackets to clear the added thickness.
