do88 built this replacement intercooler around a 13,770 cm3 core against 7,411 cm3 for the original, an 86 percent increase in core volume. On do88 test data it flows 356 CFM at 0.15 bar pressure drop versus 218 CFM for the OE cooler, and charge temperature after the core measured 27 degrees C against 45 degrees C under the same conditions. Inlet and outlet connections are 2.5 in (63 mm) rather than the 2.25 in (57 mm) of the original, so two silicone hoses are supplied to adapt the car inlet and outlet. Construction is all aluminium with CAD designed, flow optimized cast end tanks in place of the plastic tanks used on the OE unit, and the mounting points for the radiator, AC condenser and air guides are built in.
