The F-hose is the branched vacuum line on the RS4 2.7 BiTurbo, and the factory rubber version cracks with age, which bleeds off boost control vacuum and upsets the signal to the wastegate and diverter valves. This replacement is moulded in high quality silicone with three to five reinforcement layers, so it stays sealed under vacuum and underhood heat far longer than the original rubber.
