H&R Sport Springs replace the factory coils and lower the car 0.8 inches at the front axle and 0.6 inches at the rear, closing the fender gap and dropping the centre of gravity so the body rolls less through a corner. The progressive rate winding keeps compliance over broken pavement at part travel and firms up as the spring compresses under load. Coils are cold wound from (hf) 54SiCr6 spring steel, shot peened and block set for fatigue life, and the kit is made in Germany.
