Hawk DTC-70 is a race-only brake compound built for high-torque, high-downforce motorsport use. It develops an extremely high coefficient of friction with a highly aggressive initial bite, and operates across a 400 to 1600F range with an optimal window of 800 to 1200F, so it needs heat to work and is not intended for street driving. The compound delivers excellent modulation and release characteristics along with strong rotor and pad wear life for a full race pad. Hawk compounds require iron or metal rotors and are not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors.
