Hawk Performance's HPS 5.0 compound sits a step above standard HPS: Hawk rates it for aggressive torque and high deceleration rates while keeping smooth, predictable control and great rotor and pad wear life. Like HPS it is a street compound with consistent brake release characteristics, but it is aimed at drivers who want more bite than HPS gives.

HB563B.656 and HB563F.656 are the same HB563 pad shape in two different compounds - B is HPS 5.0, F is HPS - so they share one application list. The HB563 shape is the Brembo front pad for the high-output LX cars: Chrysler 300 SRT8 and 300 SRT8 Core, Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT8, R/T 392, Scat Pack and T/A, Magnum SRT8, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. Standard non-Brembo 300, Charger and Challenger models take the HB509 shape instead.

• Compound: HPS 5.0. The same shape in standard HPS is HB563F.656 - that is the only difference between the two part numbers.
• Pad thickness 0.656 in, taken from the .656 suffix in the part number.
• For Brembo / 4-piston front calipers - this is the SRT8 and Scat Pack shape, not the base-brake shape.
• Sold as a complete 4-pad axle set - enough for one axle, not one wheel.
• Bed-in is required before normal use; follow Hawk's published installation and bed-in procedure.
• Street compound - Hawk categorises this pad under Street, not Motorsports.
• Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. Hawk pads are designed to work with iron/metal rotors.
