Hawk Performance's HPS (High Performance Street) compound is a ferro-carbon friction material built to raise brake torque over a stock pad while staying civil on a daily-driven, street-legal car. Hawk publishes it as delivering increased stopping power with a smooth braking feel, consistent brake release, and wear characteristics that stay gentle on rotors. It is a street compound, not a race compound.

HB563F.656 and HB563B.656 are the same HB563 pad shape in two different compounds - F is HPS, B is HPS 5.0 - so they share one application list. The HB563 shape is the Brembo front pad for the high-output LX cars: Chrysler 300 SRT8 and 300 SRT8 Core, Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT8, R/T 392, Scat Pack and T/A, Magnum SRT8, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. Standard non-Brembo 300, Charger and Challenger models take the HB509 shape instead.

• Compound: HPS. The same shape in HPS 5.0 is HB563B.656 - that is the only difference between the two part numbers.
• Pad thickness 0.656 in, taken from the .656 suffix in the part number.
• For Brembo / 4-piston front calipers - this is the SRT8 and Scat Pack shape, not the base-brake shape.
• Sold as a complete 4-pad axle set - enough for one axle, not one wheel.
• Bed-in is required before normal use; follow Hawk's published installation and bed-in procedure.
• Street compound - Hawk categorises this pad under Street, not Motorsports.
• Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. Hawk pads are designed to work with iron/metal rotors.
