This kit separates the RB26DETT crank and cam signals, replacing the factory distributor mounted arrangement with a discrete cam angle sensor and a 36-2T trigger read directly at the crank. Taking the reference from the crank itself removes the timing belt flutter that blurs the stock signal, which is what allows ignition timing to be set precisely at high rpm. HKS supplies noise suppressed harnesses and installation notes with baseline F-CON settings, and a programmable ECU such as the F-CON V Pro is required to run it. This is the solid cam version and is not the kit for an engine fitted with the HKS V-Cam system.
