Husky Liners Aeroskin Low Profile Hood Protector Honda Fit 2009-2010 - Smoke

Husky Liners catalogues part 2840003 as a Smoke Aeroskin Low Profile Hood Protector. Unlike the taller stand-off Hood Shield, the Aeroskin is moulded to follow the contour of the hood and sits tight against it, so it deflects stone chips and insect strike off the leading edge without adding a visible wedge to the front of the car. On the 2009-2010 Honda Fit it covers the front lip of the hood only.

It mounts with 3M automotive-grade adhesive tape — no drilling, no brackets and no vehicle hardware. Husky's instruction sheet (HUSKYASK01) supplies two alcohol pads and a surface prep pad, and asks that the part and the hood both sit between 60°F and 80°F (15°C and 27°C) during installation, that the vehicle is not driven for 24 hours afterwards, and not washed for 72 hours.
