The KW Variant 3 is a stainless steel coilover kit with independently adjustable rebound and compression damping, using KW's patented TVR-A twin valve rebound and TVC-A twin valve compression valving so each circuit can be tuned without disturbing the other. Ride height is infinitely adjustable across 10 to 35 mm of lowering at both axles on composite spring perches, and the Inox-Line stainless steel strut bodies are rated for 1,310 kg front and 1,360 kg rear axle load. Elastomer bump stops with an integrated dust protection system act as dynamic load limiters while shielding the piston rod and seals. Every kit is hand built and individually serial numbered in Fichtenberg, Germany, and each damper is dyno tested and preset to KW's recommended settings before it ships. This kit is built for cars running the conventional steel spring setup, not the factory self-leveling air suspension.
