The MagnaFlow 557417 is a California Grade CARB compliant direct-fit catalytic converter that replaces the original equipment converter with no cutting or welding required. It is built from 16 gauge 409 stainless steel mandrel-bent tubing for smooth exhaust flow and long service life, with OE-sized 410 stainless steel barbed exhaust hangers and durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds. A single laser fusion weld replicates the OE design to reduce the chance of leaks, while the compact low-mass body improves thermal efficiency. It carries CARB Executive Order D-193-200 for legal installation in California and CARB restricted states, and ships with two 2-bolt gaskets, two nuts, and two bolts.
