MagnaFlow HM Grade Primary Catalytic Converter - Mercedes-Benz C230 2002

A failed converter throws a catalyst efficiency code and keeps the check engine light on until the substrate is replaced. This HM Grade unit is the primary converter assembly, the one sitting closest to the engine, and it carries both the upstream and the post-catalyst oxygen sensor bungs in their factory positions so the OBDII monitors run as designed. MagnaFlow reproduces the OE spun body and closes it with a single laser fusion weld rather than a clamshell seam, which is where leaks usually start, and the 60.75in assembly is built from 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing with 308 stainless MIG welds. It bolts in with no cutting or welding, and one Torca clamp, three bolts and three nuts are supplied so no corroded factory hardware has to be reused. This is a Federal and EPA grade part and is not legal for sale or installation in California, Colorado or New York.
