MagnaFlow 49846 is an OEM Grade, Federal and EPA compliant rear direct-fit catalytic converter for the 1.6L turbocharged Mini, replacing the downstream converter and clearing OBDII check engine codes. The spun body is built from 16-gauge 409 stainless steel with mandrel-bent tubing and 410 stainless steel barbed hangers, and a single laser fusion weld plus 308 stainless MIG welds keep the housing leak free. Its compact, low mass design improves thermal efficiency and restores factory exhaust flow. Mounting hardware is included so the converter bolts in without cutting or welding, and it interchanges with OE parts 18 30 7 604 565 and 18 30 7 604 566.
