The unit starts to open before the stock thermostat—improving coolant circulation to the radiator during spirited driving or track use—and fits as a direct-replacement component for Chevrolet Sonic 2012–2018 applications; pairing it with a Mishimoto performance aluminum radiator further enhances high-flow cooling performance.
