It is a single continuous silicone piece with embedded fiber reinforcement that holds its shape and resists expansion and collapse under sustained pressure. A smooth internal taper runs the full length to remove the flow restriction created by the factory plastic joiner, and worm-gear clamps are included for a secure, field-serviceable connection at each end.
