On the current 3 Series and 4 Series platform the rear pad wear sensor is a one-time-use part: the pad consumes the element and breaks the loop the instrument cluster monitors, which is what puts the brake service message on the dash. PowerStop builds this replacement to the same form, fit and function as the original, with the correct connector, grommets, mounting clips and cable protection sleeve for a water-tight installation into the factory harness. Every sensor is tested at 500F to guarantee electrode conductivity, and it fits with no modifications so the reset can be done as soon as the pads are in.
