The front pad wear sensor on the current Colorado and Canyon rides in the pad itself and is destroyed when the friction material reaches its service limit, which is how the truck raises the brake pad warning. PowerStop manufactures this replacement to meet or exceed the OEM requirement, using the factory connector plus the grommets, mounting clips and cable protection sleeve that keep the splice water-tight under a work truck. It is tested at 500F to hold electrode conductivity through towing and hauling heat cycles, and it drops into the original harness with no modifications or special tools.
