Z36 Truck & Tow is PowerStop's severe-duty friction compound, a low-dust ceramic infused with carbon fiber and formulated for trucks, SUVs and 4x4s that tow, haul or see off-road use. Where the Z23 pad targets daily driving, Z36 is built to hold torque under load and carries multi-layer stainless-steel shims that move heat out of the caliper while keeping the brakes virtually noise-free. Positive mold technology keeps friction density consistent for even wear, and the pads are chamfered and slotted to suppress squeal. Backing plates are powder coated against rust and corrosion, the friction face is thermally scorched for a fast break-in, and premium stainless-steel hardware and ceramic brake lubricant are supplied.
