Z36 Truck & Tow is PowerStop's severe-duty compound, a carbon-fiber reinforced ceramic formula aimed at the heat a loaded trailer or a low-range descent puts into a rear pad, where a standard ceramic pad starts to fade. Multi-layer stainless-steel shims replace rubberized ones so heat moves out of the backing plate faster while braking stays virtually noise free. The backing plate is powder coated against rust and corrosion, an advantage on a vehicle that sees mud and water crossings, and positive mold construction keeps friction density even for consistent wear. Premium stainless-steel hardware and ceramic brake lubricant are included, and the pads are chamfered, slotted and thermally scorched for a fast break-in.
