This is a complete rear-axle brake kit, not a pad set. One box contains both rear rotors, all four rear Z36 carbon-fiber ceramic pads with premium stainless-steel shims, both rear powder-coated calipers, the premium stainless-steel hardware and pin bushing kit, and high-temperature ceramic brake lubricant. It covers the rear axle only - the front axle is a separate part number.

Z36 is PowerStop's tow-rated line, and the rating is about the friction material and the rotor working together. The pad is a ceramic compound reinforced with carbon fibre, which raises the compound's strength so it can take the extra load and heat of towing, hauling, mountain descents and lifted trucks without the fade a plain ceramic pad would show, while still running clean and quiet enough for daily driving. The rotors are drilled and slotted to dump heat and wipe gas and debris off the pad face, and zinc plated so the non-friction areas do not rust. The calipers are finished in high-heat powder coat. A break-in procedure is required before normal use - PowerStop publishes it as five moderate-to-aggressive stops from 40 mph to 10 mph, then five more from 35 mph to 5 mph, then roughly five minutes of moderate driving to cool, without coming to a complete stop during the cycles.
