The ST X coilover kit is a ride-height-adjustable suspension system engineered by KW and built by hand in Fichtenberg, Germany, for the BMW E46. Each damper runs galvanized zinc-coated steel struts with a hardened chrome piston rod, a friction-optimized polyamide composite spring perch with a stainless-steel insert, and an integrated dust-protection bump stop. Spring rates and damper valving are tuned specifically for the application, with a wide range of height adjustment via ST's trapezoidal thread pitch.
