The Walbro MP-13 is a dead end multi-point in-tank fuel pickup with a single 5/16 inch fitting and a bleed hole in its disc. A 70 micron mesh screens the fuel and holds a film of fuel when uncovered to seal against air, while the bleed hole keeps the pickup from closing completely so the pickups cannot all seal shut and hold the pump under vacuum. Walbro recommends one bleed hole pickup per system when the tank can run dry, placed where fuel will last longest. Each pickup flows up to about 40 gal/hr, measures just under 3 inches across and 2 inches tall, and is tested to minus 40 F in gasoline and 0 F in diesel.
