Description
These front calipers are engineered as direct bolt-on replacements for the original equipment calipers in select Corvette models from 1965 to 1982. Constructed from Type III hard anodized forged billet aluminum, they offer significant improvements in durability and performance. The inclusion of stainless steel pistons and high-temperature seals helps eliminate issues related to rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that are commonly found in factory designs.
Designed for low-maintenance operation, these calipers contribute to a notable reduction in weight while ensuring high-temperature reliability and enhanced braking power through their six-piston pad clamping capability. They mount in the stock location over the original rotors, utilizing the existing D8 brake pads, and are compatible with most wheels produced from 1967 onwards. It’s important to note that certain wheels, including the original '65-'66 OE “JK” code steel wheels and select aftermarket alloy wheels, may require a 3/16” or wider wheel spacer for proper clearance.
