Piston Coating & Forged Piston Sets

Piston skirt coatings add a thin, slick layer that reduces friction against the cylinder wall and helps prevent scuffing during cold starts and break in. On a high load or high rpm engine, coated pistons run quieter and hold up better over time, which is why many forged pistons ship with skirt coating already applied.

This collection currently features a CP Pistons forged piston and ring set for the Honda H22, with an 87.5mm bore and a 9.0:1 compression ratio suited to turbocharged builds. CP forged pistons are made from high strength aluminum alloy and come with rings matched to the bore, making them a strong foundation for a boosted Prelude or an H22 swap. We do not sell standalone coating products or coating services, so this collection focuses on complete pistons ready for your build.
