Solenoids
Solenoids: Honda VTEC & Turbosmart BOV Solenoids
A solenoid is an electrically switched valve. On Honda VTEC engines, the VTEC solenoid sends oil pressure to engage the high lift cam lobes, and a leaking gasket or tired solenoid can delay or stop VTEC engagement. On an electronic blow off valve, the solenoid is what opens the valve on command, so a failed unit means no venting.
We stock Skunk2 billet VTEC solenoids for Honda and Acura engines, including Black Series units for the B series (1992 to 2001), the H series and the S2000 (2000 to 2009), plus a hard anodized billet version for the B series. Machined billet housings replace the factory cast piece and look clean in the engine bay. We also carry the Turbosmart Kompact EM solenoid replacement for the VR9 electronic blow off valve.
As an authorized Skunk2 Racing and Turbosmart dealer, we sell genuine parts with full manufacturer warranty. Not sure which solenoid fits your engine? Ask our team before you order.
