When you mount a speaker in a door, it sits in a damp, dusty cavity full of sheet metal that loves to rattle. A good speaker installation protects the speaker and isolates it from the panel so the sound you hear comes from the cone, not from buzzing metal and trim.

In this collection we currently stock the DEI Boom Mat speaker baffles for 6.5 inch round speakers, sold as a pair. The foam baffles fit behind the speaker to shield it from water and dirt inside the door, and they help isolate the speaker from the door skin to cut rattles and improve midbass. They work with factory or aftermarket 6.5 inch speakers and pair well with DEI Boom Mat damping material on the surrounding panel.
