Tire Tubes for Drag Racing Slicks

Many drag slicks and racing tires are built as tube type tires. Their soft, flexible sidewalls wrinkle at launch and run at very low pressure, so an inner tube holds the air instead of relying on a bead seal. A purpose built racing tube is designed to cope with that sidewall flex and the heat of repeated passes.

We stock Mickey Thompson racing tubes in 9.50-15/16 and 11.50-15 sizes, plus a larger tube for wide slicks on 15 and 16 inch wheels. These match tube type Mickey Thompson drag slicks and racing tires. Always match the tube size to the tire size printed on the sidewall, and inspect or replace the tube whenever you mount a new tire.
