The AMS Performance cold air intakes replace both factory intakes on the VR30DDTT with true cold air ducts that draw from the front bumper and connect to the factory front ducts. Closed intake boxes with clear acrylic windows keep engine bay heat out, while 4-ply wire-reinforced silicone tubing and larger-than-OEM MAF housings give an average 23% larger cross-section than the factory pipes. AMS rates the system at 10+ whp out of the box or 15+ whp with ECU tuning, no calibration is required, and the dry filters clean with compressed air. CARB EO D-825-8 covers use on emissions-controlled vehicles.
