The SwitchPath is a valved cat-back exhaust handcrafted from CNC mandrel-bent 3 inch and 2.5 inch U.S. sourced .065 inch wall T304L stainless steel, with a clean straight-through core and a valved passenger side tip outlet. The valve answers to the factory control system rather than a separate controller, so it opens and closes on the S3 ECU logic driven by throttle input, engine speed, and Drive Select, with enhanced crackle in Dynamic. The optional AWE SwitchPath Remote adds push button control of the valve at any time, and the system can later be converted to Track Edition if you want it open permanently. AWE rates the setup at up to 12 hp and 9 lb-ft at the wheels measured turbo-back on stock software. It finishes in 102mm double-walled slash-cut tips with a stamped AWE logo, carries the AWE No CEL Guarantee, and is backed by a lifetime warranty.
