The Dinan Cold Air Intake for the B58-powered G42 M240i and G20 M340i reworks the entire lower box, not just the lid, to house a custom free-flowing filter 40% larger than stock at 115 square inches. A patterned secondary inlet on the side opposite the engine adds volume without raising intake temperatures, and removing the factory resonator sharpens turbo and blow-off sound. The carbon fiber system outflows the stock intake by 58% and adds up to 9 WHP and 8 lb-ft at 6500 RPM on a stock car, fitting M340i and M240i models without factory strut bracing.
