Dinan's intake replaces the whole factory airbox rather than just the lid, using a 2x2 gloss twill carbon fiber housing that holds 60% more volume than stock and carries a filter with 40% more media area, 115 square inches against the factory 82. A secondary patterned inlet on the side away from the engine fills that extra volume, and Dinan's testing across single and multiple gear pulls, constant speed and 0-100 mph runs showed no rise in turbo inlet temperatures from it. The filter is deeply pleated multi layered cotton over a steel wire mesh core. Dinan measures maximum gains of 13 wheel horsepower at 6000 rpm and 14 lb-ft at 3500 rpm on an otherwise stock car, with 58% more flow than the factory system, and the lid carries a brace valley for factory or Dinan strut braces.
