This kit moves the air filter out of the engine bay on Trionic 7 Saab 9-3 turbos. The factory airbox is removed and a reinforced silicone hose runs from the mass air flow meter through the existing hole behind the rear headlight to the area behind the bumper by the right fog light, where the supplied ITG foam filter sits in ambient air instead of underhood heat. The ITG element uses reticulated polyester foam for high flow with good dust holding and is rated to 310 hp. Because the filter sits low and forward, do88 recommends a splash guard ahead of it and shorter cleaning intervals.
