do88 keeps the factory lower airbox and fresh air ducting, which already supports power levels up to about 500hp, and replaces the restrictive lid and turbo ducting. The one piece moulded upper lid carries an 80mm (3 1/8 inch) intake duct with smooth transitions to cut turbulence ahead of the turbo inlet. Because the OEM cold air feed stays in place the system draws outside air instead of engine bay heat. do88 measured 44% better air flow than the factory setup on its SuperFlow SF-1020 bench with the BMC filter and do88 turbo inlet pipe fitted. The lid suits cars with and without a secondary air injection port and bolts on with no modification to the car.
