An open differential sends power to the wheel with the least grip, so the inside rear tire spins when you accelerate out of a corner or launch hard. A limited-slip differential shares torque between both wheels, putting more power to the ground and making the car more predictable at the limit.

Our current offering is the AMS Performance helical rear limited-slip differential for the 2014 to 2024 Infiniti Q50 and Q60. It is a popular upgrade for tuned Q50 and Q60 models, especially the twin turbo 3.0L cars that make strong torque and gain even more with a tune. The helical gear design works smoothly without clutch packs to wear out, which suits daily driving as well as drag strip and track use.
