Ignition Controllers & AEM Coil Drivers

When you move to a standalone ECU or an engine swap, the ignition side of the system needs hardware that can be triggered cleanly by the new management. Coil drivers take the low current signal from the ECU and switch the coil, while smart coils build that function in. Getting this right keeps spark timing accurate and dependable on a custom setup.

This collection is built around AEM ignition hardware. We carry the AEM Ignition Coil Driver in 1-Channel and 4-Channel versions, the AEM High-Output Smart and Dumb Inductive Ignition Coils for universal use, and an AEM High-Output Ignition Coil made for the Acura RSX, Honda Civic and Honda S2000. Together they cover everything from single coil projects up to four cylinder coil on plug conversions run from a standalone ECU.
