aFe CONTROL Rear Tow Hook Chevrolet Corvette C8 2020-2026 - 4130 Steel, Black

This is the aFe CONTROL rear tow hook for the C8 Corvette - aFe lists it for the 2020-2026 Chevrolet Corvette (C8) with the 6.2L V8. It is not a universal hook. The stem is CNC machined specifically for the C8's rear recovery point, and its 4.2 inch length was set so the loop clears the rear bumper correctly; a generic hook either will not thread in or will sit at the wrong depth. A matching front tow hook is a separate part number, 450-401014-B.

Both the stem and the loop are CNC machined from 4130 chromoly steel, strong enough to winch the car onto a flatbed or be pulled off a track surface. The stem is black zinc coated for corrosion resistance and the loop is powder coated black (aFe also offers blue, gray and red loops under separate part numbers). Both the stem threads and the bolt threads arrive pre-coated with Vibra-tite threadlocker, which stays flexible, removable and reusable, so the hook does not back out under vibration but still comes off when you want it off. It installs in the factory location with no modification, and the mounting bolt is supplied - an M12-1.75 x 40mm hex flange bolt. aFe does not publish a load or towing rating for this hook. aFe states this product does not require a CARB EO number.
