The AMS Performance Alpha Race front mount intercooler is built for upgraded GT-Rs making 1000 to 1400 hp. A 22in x 14in x 4.5in Garrett bar-and-plate core with vertical airflow and twice the fin density of typical aftermarket cores holds 92.5% more air volume than stock while keeping boost pressure drop under 1 psi, with excellent thermal efficiency even in hot climates. The TIG-welded aluminum core has 3in CNC billet inlet and outlet ports, is pressure-tested to 50 psi, and mounts on gusseted aluminum brackets with shroud and bridge plates to channel air through the core. It fits without trimming the factory crash beam or bumper cover, needs only minimal trimming of the OEM plastic shroud, and works with Alpha piping or any aftermarket 3in intercooler piping.
