The AMS Performance CAN bus flex fuel kit with fuel filter adds a real-time ethanol content sensor that reports over the CAN bus to an EcuTek tune, so the engine can run E50, E85, E98 or any blend from pump gas to full ethanol, and bundles an in-line Fuelab filter with a 6-micron micro-fiberglass element to protect the fuel system. The plug-and-play harness needs no wiring, and the AMS CAN box adds three 0-5V analog inputs for sensors such as fuel or coolant pressure with failsafe capability. Race-grade -6AN braided fuel lines, AN and aluminum quick-connect fittings, and stainless and anodized aluminum brackets are included. A custom ECU calibration is required; AMS recommends replacing the filter element every 12 months or 12,000 miles.
